The Central Rockies and the Midwest are bracing for a major blizzard Wednesday, with 6-12 inches of snow expected from Minnesota to Michigan.
Northern Minnesota is already buried under 6-22 inches of snow, AccuWeather reports, but the snow is expected to continue throughout the day. Areas in Montana and the Dakotas could see temperatures of -20 degrees, while California may see uncharacteristically cold weather as well, reaching into the 20s.
High winds could send snow whipping across the Rockies, reducing visibility and creating hazardous travel conditions.
