The flight captain who made a hard landing at LaGuardia airport in July has been fired, a Southwest spokeswoman told CNN Wednesday.
Ten passengers were injured when the Boeing 737-700 landed nose wheels first, causing some gears to collapse.
The captain, a 13-year veteran pilot, allegedly took control from his co-polit mid-landing, when the aircraft was below 400 feet. Co-pilots rarely shift controls at that point in the flight.
