Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live like a corrupt Congressman? What sort of music should I listen to while I’m illegally spending campaign funds?, you may have thought. What kind of 1980s autographed memorabilia would I display inside my lavish home? When I buy my wife a cape, should that cape be cashmere or mink?
The U.S. Marshals Service is here to help. Starting today, you can buy a dozen items previously owned by former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and seized by U.S. marshals to repay $750,000 Jackson misspent in campaign funds. Jackson’s malfeasance surfaced after federal agents began investigating former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich for allegedly attempting to sell then-Senator Barack Obama’s vacated Senate seat, a seat coveted by Jackson.

The former Congressman’s belongings are being auctioned off online to the highest bidder by Gaston & Sheehan Auctioneers. Items like:
A framed and matted Michael Jackson autographed poster of the 25th anniversary of “Thriller” (starting at $300); a Michael Jackson autographed cymbal ($260) and a double framed and matted “Best Wishes Bruce Lee” autographed color photo from the movie “The Way of the Dragon” ($300). (Jackson reportedly studied martial arts and is an expert in kung fu and tae kwon do.). The auction also includes several ladies’ capes and furs, in both mink and cashmere ($115 – $260), which presumably would’ve been worn by Jackson’s wife, Sandi, who has also been sentenced to a year in prison for tax fraud.
This is your chance to wear a cape while looking at Bruce Lee’s autograph right inside your own home. But act fast — the auction ends Sept. 26. Jackson is scheduled to begin serving a two-and-a-half year prison term Nov. 1.
