An advertising executive is suing her boss for what she says were insults that she resembled ample reality TV star Susan Boyle.
Laura Ziv, an ad director for perfume company Firmenich, has filed a $6-million lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court against the company and her boss, Herve Pierini, alleging taunts over her looks and weight, the New York Post reports. Ziv claims stress from the harassment led to a brain hemorrhage.
Referring to the singing star made famous by the show “Britain’s Got Talent,” the suit contends that “Pierini taunted Ziv at a party given by an executive of the [company’s] biggest client at her home by repeatedly referring to Ziv as ‘Susan Boyle,’ a Scottish singer who is often taunted in the media as being old, fat and ugly.”
Neither Pierini nor the company commented on the suit.
