A Royal Caribbean cruise ship sailed into San Juan, Puerto Rico, Saturday with more than 300 sick people in tow, the second major health incident for the company this month.
More than 300 people, including 281 of the 3,050 passengers and 22 of 1,165 crew members, reported vomiting and diarrhea, CNN reports. Though the cause of the illness is still unknown, Royal Caribbean said those who fell sick responded well to over-the-counter medication brought on the ship.
The Center for Disease Control health officer and epidemiologist are conducting an investigation into the incident, and the ship is being sanitized with cleaning products effective for norovirus.
