A gunman opened fire at a mall in Howard County, Md., Saturday, killing two employees and subsequently himself.
The Howard County Police reported via Twitter that three people had been confirmed dead. The Associated Press report that gunman, who has not been identified, was among the deceased.
According to the police, the victims were identified as Brianna Benlolo and Tyler Johnson. Both of them were retail employees at a skate shop.
The mall was put on lockdown until police could safely evacuate it.
A motive has not yet been determined, but police say that there was only one shooter.
A call reporting gunshots came into 911 around 11:15 a.m., and all three victims were dead when police entered the mall.
Five people injured from the shooting were treated and released, said a hospital.
