A flight from San Francisco to New York was forced to make an emergency landing in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon after a suspicious electronic device was discovered in the aircraft’s toilet, spurring fears that a bomb might have been planted on board.

After examining the evidence, officials said the suspect object on the American Airlines flight was a camera disguised as a flash drive, according to NBC. Officials, including F.B.I. investigators, are now trying to determine who planted it.
