A memorial statue of slain President John F. Kennedy was stolen from a park in Arizona over the weekend.

The bronze-cast bust of Kennedy was ripped clean from its granite base and taken, right along with the bolts that held it down. A parks employee discovered the theft Monday morning at Presidio Park in Tucson, Ariz.

According to KVOA News, security cameras in the park did not capture the theft, and so far authorities have not announced any leads. The Pima County Democrats, one of the statue’s original donors in 1964, said through a spokesperson that they hope whoever stole it will do the right thing and return it.
