One of the survivors of the Boston Marathon Bombing announced that he’s engaged to a nurse he met while recovering from his injuries.
James “Bim” Costello, who was injured in the bombing last April, posted on his Facebook page that he was engaged to Krista D’Agostino, a nurse he met while he was recovering from his injuries. Costello suffered serious burns, requiring pig skin grafts on most of his right arm and right leg, the Boston Globe reports.
While recovering from his injuries, Costello met D’Agostino, a nurse with whom he shared mutual friends but had never met. “I now realized why I was involved in the tragedy, it was to meet my best friend, and the love of my life,” Costello wrote. The couple got engaged over the weekend while traveling in France.
