A former Zumba instructor who ran a prostitution ring was released from jail Saturday, serving just six months of a 10-month sentence.
Alexis Wright, 30, ran a prostitution business and secretly videotaped clients for her business partner Mark Strong, 58, who watched in real-time from his computer at an insurance business office, the Associated Press reports. Strong, a married father of two, admitted to having an affair with Wright and helping her launch her fitness business, but said he did not profit from the prostitution ring.
The scandal shocked the small Maine community of Kennebunk, including Wright’s fitness clients. The former Zumba fitness instructor was serving time for engaging in and promoting prostitution and tax fraud charges.
