4 Marines Killed in Camp Pendleton Accident

Four U.S. Marines were killed in an accident at Camp Pendleton, in Southern California, Wednesday morning, according to a Marine Corps. spokesperson.

Few details have been about the incident, which took place at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, NBC San Diego reports. The nature of the accident remains unknown at this time and identities of the dead have not yet been released, pending notification of the families.

“We offer our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the families of the Marines lost today in this tragic accident. Our first priority is to provide the families with the support they need during this difficult time,” said Marine spokesperson Brig. Gen. John W. Bullard.
