A man became stuck in a machine at a fortune cookie factory in Seattle, Washington on Thursday; medics were able to save him, but he lost his arm.

Firefighters who where called to the scene at the Tsue Chong Company in Seattle’s Chinatown International District found the 55-year-old man stuck in a machine up to his chest. They were able to free him, but his arm was severed.  They transported him to a nearby hospital, along with his arm, and doctors were going to attempt to reattach the limb.

A spokeswoman for the State Department of Labor & Industries told the AP that the plant does not have a history of safety violations, and inspectors will investigate the accident.
