Two men were hospitalized Wednesday after the hot air balloon they were piloting struck power lines and caught fire in Albuquerque, N.M.

Mark Kilgore, 59, and Daniel, Lovato, 66, both plummeted 40 feet to the ground after their gondola was engulfed in flames and separated from the balloon, KOAT reports. Lovato suffered an electric shock while disentangling the balloon from the power line.

Witnesses used water bottles to help put out the fire.
