Update: 12:12 P.M. The coaster is now reopened.
A dozen roller coaster riders were stuck near the top of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios in Florida on Wednesday after a computer glitch halted the ride.
A computer glitch at about 7 p.m. caused the coaster to go into safety mode and stopped the cars, the Associated Press reports. Passengers on other trains on the track were helped off quickly, but people on a 12-person train stuck in a vertical position near the top of the first hill – 150 feet from the ground – had to wait until 9:30 p.m. to be rescued.
There were no serious injuries in the incident.
