Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett likened gay marriage to incest in a local news television interview Friday.
Corbett was clarifying a comment that a member of his legal team made earlier this summer comparing gay and lesbian couples to children (incapable of marriage), which he called “an inappropriate analogy.”
“I think a much better analogy would have been brother and sister, don’t you?” he asked the interviewer.
“I’m going to leave the comments to you and your team,” the reporter responded.
