A Colorado teenager confessed to abducting, killing and dismembering a 10-year-old girl last year on Tuesday. Austin Reed Sigg, 18, plead guilty to charges of first-degree murder and sexual assault, as well as the unsuccessful kidnapping of a female jogger months before he murdered the young girl, Reuters reports.

Jessica Ridgeway vanished on her way to school in Westminister, a Denver suburb, last October. Police found her remains in the neighboring town of Arvada and also in the home of Sigg’s mother in Westminster.

“No charges were dismissed as part of a plea bargin,” Jefferson County district attorney Peter Weird said in a statement. Sigg’s sentencing is scheduled for mid-November. He faces life in prison.
