A 19-year-old man was arrested Thursday for allegedly hacking into women’s computers, using their webcams to photograph them naked and then using the illicit images to extort more pictures from the women.
Among James Abrahams’ victims was Cassidy Wolf, Miss Teen USA, according to KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. Prosecutors say the computer science student to the hacking.
Abrahams knew Wolf personally. According to an FBI report, he threatened to post nude photos online unless Wolf either sent more nude photos, sent a nude video, or gave him a live show on Skype.
Abrahams was released on $50,000-bail to his parents home. He will be arraigned Nov. 4.
