A homeless man allegedly pushed a 21-year-old New York woman into the path of a train Wednesday after she declined to give him money.
The Hunter College student, whose name was not released, was severely injured and in surgery Wednesday afternoon after the incident at a Metro-North station in suburban New York, the Journal News reports.
Bystanders followed the suspect, and he was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted homicide.
