David C. Morrison with President Ford in 1992 after winning the Gerald R. Ford Prize for Distinguished Reporting on National Defense.
Those of us who involved in the national-security realm in this town for awhile recall reading David C.Morrison’s stories in the National Journal (think of it as a National Geographic that explores the back halls of Washington) back when Cap Weinberger was running the Pentagon.
His reporting and writing were solid and spot-on. But then he hit a tough patch. He died, way too early, two weeks ago. Fellow nat-sec pencil-pusher Jeff Stein has this remembrance.
