One of Battleland’s crew of ace accountants flipped Monday’s list of Pentagon contract announcements our way, and pointed out this drone upgrade program (you can click on it to enlarge):
Then he tossed us Friday’s list, and pointed to this one:
Just a simple error, the Air Force said Tuesday.
“This contract was inadvertently sent out twice,” a service spokeswoman said.
Sure, we responded. But it will be paid only once?
“Correct!!”
Battleland has seen more obvious mistakes in these daily lists of contract announcements than it would like. Our military-contracting buddies always blame the software and/or the formulaic way they’re assembled by computers for such errors.
Wonder how different it is in the stuff we never get to see?
