Last week, we noted that the U.S. Air Force had awarded the Royal Jordanian Air Academy a $370,779,589 contract for a year’s worth of training Iraqi air force technicians how to fix airplanes and speak English. Apparently, more than $1 million a day wasn’t enough: on August 13 — less than a week after the announcement of that initial contract — the Air Force added $11,175,067 to the contract. Guess a couple of Iraqis wanted to bring extra pieces of luggage from Baghdad to Amman.
