A federal judge in Boston set a November court date for alleged Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Wednesday, much earlier than the 2015 trial suggested by his defense attorneys.

The judge scheduled the trial for Nov. 3 after receiving conflicted status reports from the prosecution and defense teams about the timeline they envision for the trial. Tsarnaev’s defense team wanted the trial to start next year, while the prosecution hoped to start in the fall, Boston.com reports.

Tsarnaev, 20, faces multiple charges for orchestrating the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings that killed three people and injured 260 others. He and his brother Tamerlan, who was killed during the post-marathon manhunt, also allegedly killed an MIT police officer in Cambridge.
