Human body parts were found along a road in rural Michigan, and authorities have yet to say anything about the gender, race or age of the victim or victims.
CNN reports that investigators are still counting the body parts, and that it’s not yet even clear if they came from one person or more. On Thursday afternoon, a passerby reportedly called police after looking inside a bag. Another reported seeing an SUV dumping what they believed was garbage along the road. A head and torso have reportedly been discovered among the parts.
The St. Clair County Sheriff told reporters that that authorities are “treating this incident as a homicide,” a local ABC affiliate reports.
