Dennis McGuire’s family plans to sue the state of Ohio, claiming the inmate suffered unnecessarily during his execution
Lets be real, the family probably had no intention to sue and probably gave up on this scum before he killed. This is America, some scum lawyer looking at making a profit walked into their house and said he would take the case for free and take a nice percentage of the settlement. Me personally wouldn't sue if it was my family because my family member gets what the deserve, but again this is America, anyway to make money for doing nothing you do it
They never got anything from him while he was alive but grief, so now they want payment from the state because he felt some pain, what bs.
if the u.s. insists on killing its killers rather than putting them behind bars for life(as in till death), have the deceny to make sure its quick. mcquire's unnessesary suffering was cruel. not good . . .
And they will probably wil win.l i still dont understand why all this expenisve stufff must be used for executions. A single bullet works just as well andis quite cheap
@nuthatch Sounded good to me, do you think Mcquire was concerned about the pain his victim felt?
@Openminded1I actually agree with you on this one. The State goes through extraordinary lengths to try to ensure that the condemned are killed as painlessly as possible in order to comply with the prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment. As long as the State took every reasonable precaution I think the family has no case. Sometimes things just go wrong. Just the other day I ordered a quarter pounder without cheese from McDonalds and sure enough there was cheese on it. I didn't go and file a lawsuit against McDonalds, I just lived with it.
@nuthatch @Openminded1 No sympathy, this garbage killed, raped a woman and her unborn baby. he deserved what he got and more.
