Police in Ohio say they found almost 50 bombs in the car of an Indiana man stopped for speeding last week.

Andrew Scott Boguslawski, 43, was charged with illegally making or possessing explosive devices after being stopped for speeding late Jan. 1, Madison-Press reports. Boguslawski initially said he did not have weapons, but the trooper saw after writing up a ticket that he had a gun between his legs, according to Assistant Madison County Prosecutor Nick Adkins. Investigators searched the vehicle and found two pistols, two rifles and 48 explosives.

Adkins told Madison-Press that the explosives were not “high tech” but added that authorities found a remote detonating device in the vehicle. Boguslawski works at an Indiana training facility for Navy Seals, and investigators are currently analyzing a laptop, GPS system and camera removed from the vehicle, Adkins said.

Boguslawski faces a court hearing Friday, with bail set at $1 million. There was no attorney representing him listed on the court docket, according to the Associated Press.
