A cornucopia of weather systems is set to hit wide swaths of United States this weekend, just in time to stymie travelers hitting the road to make it home for Christmas.

Parts of the U.S. can expect snow, ice, fog, and rain as an early gift from Santa, USA Today reports. A span of 1,200 miles will be affected by the weather system, including parts of 10 states. Heavy rains from Oklahoma to New York could bring flooding. Cities in Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri should expect snow, while parts of Texas could have tornadoes on Saturday afternoon.

But in the southeast, Virginia and Washington D.C. will enjoy warmer temperatures well into Sunday.
