In a case akin to the bloody thriller movie Natural Born Killers, a recently wed couple was arrested after using an online ad to draw a Pennsylvania man to their car, where they stabbed and killed him, police said.

Elytte Barbour, 22, and 18-year Miranda Barbour, who married just three weeks ago, used Craigslist to advertise companionship for money in Sunbury, Pa., the Associated Press reports. Miranda picked up Troy LaFerrara, 42, of Port Trevorton in the couple’s car on Nov. 11. Elytte hid in the back and used a cord to strangle LaFerrara, while Miranda Barbour stabbed him 20 times, then went to a strip club, police said. Authorities found LaFerrara’s body the next day in an alley.

Elytte told The Daily Item of Sunbury that his wife hired herself out as a nonsexual “companion” to men online. He said his wife regularly made between $50 to $850 for meeting with men to talk or have dinner.

The couple is charged with criminal homicide. Sunbury police are also investigating a death of a man who is the father of Miranda Barbour’s 1-year-old child.
