A San Antonio police officer was arrested for felony sexual assault on Saturday after allegedly handcuffing and raping a 19-year-old woman during a traffic stop.

Jackie Len Neal, 40, is accused of pulling over the young woman while on duty Friday, for driving a vehicle reported stolen, according to the San Antonio Express-News. The woman reportedly showed Neal a receipt for the newly purchased car, though authorities could not confirm if the car had ever been reported stolen.

Police say Neal ignored the woman’s request that a female officer be called in to pat her down, and then groped and handcuffed her before moving her into the back of his patrol car, where allegedly raped her and instructed her not to report the incident.

Neal was released on $20,000 bond and will continue to receive pay pending an indictment. Neither the officer nor any lawyer representing him has yet to comment publicly.
