The bikers accused of chasing and beating a man in an SUV on a New York City highway also threatened his wife and daughter, a prosecutor said Wednesday.

The case drew national headlines when video of the chase, captured on a motorcyclist’s dashboard camera, went viral. Video showed a flock of bikers surrounding Alexian Lien’s SUV, and then chasing him when one biker stopped and was hit by Lien.

Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass, speaking at an arraignment hearing, said defendants Robert Sims and Jason Brown tried to pull Lien’s wife Rosalyn their two-year-old daughter out of the car, telling her “you’re going to get it, too,” the New York Daily News reports.

Sims, Steinglass said, was especially vicious. “He is seen most clearly stomping the victim as he is lying helpless on the ground,” he said in his description of a video of the attack.

Each of the accused bikers have pleaded not guilty and say they were trying to stop Lien after fellow biker Edwin Mieses was hit by the SUV.
