Phoenix police said nothing dangerous was found on a United Airlines commercial flight  en route from San Francisco to San Antonio that was diverted and forced to make an emergency landing due to a possible threat.

Dozens of passengers were escorted from United Express Flight 5573, operated by Skywest Airlines, after the plane landed at 4.45 p.m. at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, according to Reuters. Police spokesperson Sergeant Steve Martos said a bomb squad searched the plane and luggage, but did not find anything threatening.  Further investigations were still ongoing, he said.

Sky Harbor International Airport spokeswoman Deborah Ostreicher told the Associated Press that passengers were rescreened to resume their trip to San Antonio.

The United Airlines fight resumed its journey to San Antonio before 8 p.m., according to 3TV News. No other flights were delayed by the incident.
