A South Carolina gunman killed five people and then himself on Tuesday, in what police said Wednesday was a murder-suicide.

SWAT team members in Greenwood, about 80 miles west of state capital Columbia, stormed a house late Tuesday night after a man called police and said he was thinking about hurting himself. According to the AP, they found the bodies of four adults and two children in the home, the oldest in the early 50s and the youngest only nine years old.

Greenwood County Sheriff Tony Davis identified the shooter as 27-year-old Bryan Sweatt, who had previously dated the women who was killed and had a child with her.
