This time, they didn’t need Samuel L. Jackson to save the day, but for a Texas man, bringing snakes on a plane was still a bad decision.
An eco-tourism guide in Texas who pleaded guilty to smuggling snakes on planes won’t face prison time, but will get three years probation instead. William Wylly Lamar, 63 admitted to buying seven live snakes at a market in Lima, Peru and smuggling them through Miami to Dallas in his jacket, the Associated Press reports.
He pleaded guilty in June to importing wildlife taken in violation of Peruvian law.
