A Tennessee man checked a bag containing a loaded rifle and other weapons at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport Saturday, according to police.
Port Authority found the weapons, and police arrested Keenan Draughon, 23, as he was boarding a flight to Charlotte, North Carolina, reports the Associated Press.
Draughon also had another rifle with its serial number defaced, high-capacity magazines—which are illegal in New York—and two handguns in his checked luggage, authorities said.
The U.S. Transportation Security Administration only allows passengers to check unloaded and licensed weapons.
