The weather for this Halloween will favor layered rather than skimpy costumes.

A cold front will impact the Northeast and Midwest, regions that will see temperatures drop 10 to 15 degrees colder than average, the National Weather Service says.

Temperatures will fall into the 20s from Missouri to Pennsylvania on Thursday, and western New York state could see about a foot of snow in the next few days.
