A soldier opened fire near a Tennessee Navy base on Thursday afternoon, injuring two other soldiers before being taken into custody, police and the Navy said.

The Navy said the soldiers in Millington, Tenn., were wounded with non-life threatening injuries and confirmed that the suspect was in. All three are members of the National Guard, the Navy said. The nearby base was locked down as a precaution, but that lock down was lifted shortly after.

“This is not an active shooter situation,” the Navy wrote on its Twitter feed.

The Millington police said the shooter used a small handgun to shoot one victim in the foot and the other in the leg, WMCTV reports. By the time first responders arrived at the scene, other National Guard employees had already restrained the shooter.
