The parents of four daughters appeared in federal court Friday on charges that they sold their girls into child pornography.
Connie and Ronnie McCall are accused of selling their three oldest daughters into the sex trade, driving them to various locations in different states to be filmed having sex with adults, WCYB.com reports.
The investigation began when authorities arrested the couple for neglect after finding their home in deplorable conditions, including animal waste in their Johnson City, Tenn., home. The youngest daughter, just 5, had rotted teeth. When they questioned the girls, police learned that the three oldest, ages 12, 15 and 17 had been sold for sex.
Ronnie McCall has pleaded not guilty, and Connie is set to be arraigned Wednesday.
The District Attorney said that one of the men accused of filming sex acts with the girls has committed suicide.
