Police have detained a 65-year-old man who allegedly killed two women at a senior center in Detroit on Sunday.
The accused shooter claims the women were responsible for his breakup with his girlfriend, the Detoir Free Press reports.
After an argument with his girlfriend that ended their relationship, police say the suspect, who has yet to be named, retrieved a rifle from his apartment and sought out the two people he blamed for the breakup. He went to the Pablo David Elder Living Center and shot a 54-year-old woman who was a friend of his ex. He then shot a 65-year-old woman multiple times.
Police are holding the suspect and say the ex-girlfriend was not a target of the shooter.
