Authorities in South Carolina said they have arrested a 52-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting and holding his girlfriend in forced captivity for three months.
According to a CNN report, the suspect, Paul Thomas Rawl Jr. has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. Local police said that Rawl allegedly forced the victim to ingest prescription drugs before sexually abusing her up to nine times a day.
In 2000, Rawl was convicted of criminal sexual conduct for assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
