Wednesday morning seems like déjà vu all over again for commuters in the San Francisco Bay Area, only now things could get even more complicated.

Late Tuesday night, a federal mediator again announced that Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) trains would run Wednesday, even as labor negotiations continue, the Associated Press reports. It was almost an exact replay of the scene on Monday night, only now there is a new wrinkle: Workers at the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District are threatening to strike if their conditions for a new contract aren’t met.

The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District serves the East Bay area, and also carries people in and out of San Francisco; roughly 100,000 people ride its buses. Contracts for both BART and AC Transit workers expired in June. Bus workers are threatening to walk off the job on Thursday.
