Tropical Storm Karen was downgraded to a tropical depression late on Saturday, and cities along the Gulf of Mexico have cancelled their severe warnings as forecasters projected early Sunday morning that the storm would continue to weaken.

The storm is expected to become a “remanant low” by later Sunday afternoon, with winds below 34 knots. The northern Gulf Coast may still experience 1-3 inches of rain and some flooding, Nola.com reports.
