Authorities are questioning a ‘person of interest’ possibly linked to a shooting in Chicago that wounded 13 people Thursday night.
Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said at a Friday news conference that “several people” were being questioned in connection to gunfire that opened at a park on the south side. He said the shooting was gang related and the target remains unclear.
McCarthy said high-powered military grade weapons were used.
A toddler was among those wounded in the shooting and was hit in the face. Pastor Corey Brooks told the Chicago Sun-Times that he is in serious but stable condition.
