Movie martial artist Joe Son, who starred in the first Austin Powers movie, is facing new murder charges after allegedly killing his cellmate in a California prison.

Son, 42, best known as the shoe-throwing villain “Random Task,” and who is already serving a life sentence at Wasco State Prison after a rape-torture conviction, allegedly killed Thomas Graham, who was serving two years for failing to register as a sex offender. While it is unclear what led to the altercation, officials said Son killed Graham with a series of kicks and punches, TMZ.com reported. Graham’s body was found Monday afternoon and Son, identified as a suspect, was moved to solitary confinement.

Son had been a mixed martial arts fighter with an unsuccessful record of 0-4 before being sentenced to 15 years to life for the gang rape of a woman in Huntington Beach, Calif., in 1990. Prison officials say the severity of the bare-handed murder could weigh towards a decision to pursue the death penalty against Son.

I love how these prison thugs claim they murder sex offenders for being the lowest forms of life. Meanwhile, this guy was in prison for gang rape and torture. We really need to bring back mass executions for violent criminals who cannot be rehabilitated. This guy is a prime candidate for public hanging.

Wait, he was cast in Austin Powers AFTER being sentenced to 15 years to life for gang rape in 1990? I is confused.

"Son pleaded guilty to felony vandalism in 2008 and was placed on probation. As a condition of his plea agreement, Son was required to provide a DNA sample. In 2008, the DNA sample was linked to a 1990 gang rape. Already in custody for a probation violation, Son was arrested at the Theo Lacy facility on October 7, 2008."

Time also failed to mention when the murder happened.

"In September 2011, Son was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. In October 2011, Son was accused of killing his cellmate, a convicted sex offender. The murder happened on October 10, 2011, on "B" Yard Reception, building 5. On September 13, 2013, Son was officially charged with Graham's murder."
