Investigators stand near a remote controlled toy helicopter that apparently struck and killed a 19-year-old man Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Calvert Vaux Park in the Brooklyn borough of New York.

A 19-year-old man flying a remote control helicopter in a New York City park was struck and killed by it Thursday.

Roman Pirozek Jr., who police suspect was killed by the helicopter’s blade, is likely only the second person to be killed by a remote control helicopter, the Associated Press reports. A Youtube video posted in July shows Pirozek flying a T-Rex 700N DFC, a relatively large model that has a 4 1/2-foot wingspan and can travel up to 60 miles per hour.

Pirozek was the son of the vice president of the Seaview Rotary Wings Helicopter Club, a club for enthusiasts who fly aircraft in designated areas of Calvert Vaux Park.
