Rim Fire Tears Through 252 Square Miles Around Yosemite National Park

The fast-moving, destructive fire, now raging into its second week, has burned an area the size of Chicago so far. The blaze is just 20 percent contained as firefighters gained optimism that the flames wouldn't destroy historic giant sequoias or the reservoir that provides drinking water for the city of San Francisco
