North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in an emergency meeting early Friday with commanders of his Korean People's Army Strategic Rocket Force. North Korea put its rockets on standby Friday to attack U.S. military bases in South Korea and the Pacific, after the United States flew two nuclear-capable stealth bombers over the Korean peninsula in a rare show of force. Kim Jong-un "judged the time has come to settle accounts with the U.S. imperialists in view of the prevailing situation," the official KCNA news agency said. The sign on the left reads, "Strategic force's plan to hit the mainland of the U.S."

Don't take it seriously. Actually this whole concocted crisis is all about US domestic politics and has nothing to do with any non-existent foreign threat supported by helpful Reuters photographs.

Chuck Hagel won his nomination by a narrow margin, taking a lot of senatorial hits, and now he has to show that he's one of the boys. Hey look guys, I've got big bombers and I know how to use them. Schoolyard stuff. (When I was a kid it was who could pee the highest on the urinal wall.)

A lot of people got taken in by it.

Jong-un  is likely choosing his lunch from the local deli in the picture.  I just can't take this seriously.  I seems that there is more of a desire to be seen than any seriousness behind the threats.

Why is there a map of North America with lines pointing to it it the background?
