Cry me a Gold-plated toilet seat cover.  The Pentagon needs to be turned into a homeless shelter.

Of course it's crying wolf. Even with those miniscule cuts the budget would still be much, much higher than in 2000. They simply don't want to lose all the money the War on Terror brought them. Not to mention the lucrative defense industry jobs after their retirement.
