The USS Guardian, which ran aground near the Philippines Jan. 17, will be cut into pieces and removed, chunky-style.

The Guuardian should never have been sailing in a Marine Park. The incident has affected US-Philippine relations. Somebody should fry.
Anyhow, it's a wooden-hulled fiberglass-sheathed ship which makes salvage easier.
