Like most of you, Battleland is headed off to Santa’s SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility, pronounced “skiff”) for a bit. Absent breaking news, we don’t plan on returning until Wednesday, January 2, which just happens to be Sequestration Day. O, joy.
On Sequestration Day our defenses will be naked! (And so will I, being a nudist.) But I don't worry, because Uncle Leon is present for duty, as he once told Judy Woodruff in an interview: "We have to protect this country. That’s my job. That’s what I’m paid to do." And so none of us should worry. Just enjoy the holidays! That's an order. (Please.)
