The Pentagon’s Cable Guy – you know, the Defense Information Systems Agency – is seeking someone to install a “10 MB fast Ethernet circuit between Tel Aviv, Israel, and Patch Barracks, Germany.”

That’s pretty much all the information available to those of us paying for the connection (apparently, only contractors bidding on the job can see the details).

Tel Aviv is home to the headquarters of the Israel Defense Force’s general staff. Patch Barracks, in Stuttgart,  is home to the headquarters of the U.S. European Command, which has Israel in its area of responsibility. Isn’t 10 MB kinda slow, Larry?
