President Obama’s campaign rolled out this “Sacred Trust” ad Wednesday. His re-election effort says it “highlights the President’s strong commitment to honoring our veterans.” It’s part of a $25 million, four-week ad buy in nine states: Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Obama lost the vet vote to Republican John McCain in 2008 by a 55-45 margin. But the Obama camp believes the flood of younger veterans back from the two wars the Administration has wound down will be more inclined to vote for him this time around.
